Designer One Of A Kind Jewellery Pune
A little while back Aparna got in touch with me regarding a collaboration with her jewellery brand. I knew nothing about her jewellery but her mail was the most pleasant and convincing mail I had received in a while, plus the fact that she is a travel and lifestyle journalist + a gemologist + an entrepreneur got me really really interested and I wanted to see more and know more…
And here is what I found out about Aparna and her jewellery studio ‘Swapnanjali Jewellery Studio’…
Swapna and Aparna Pednekar are the mother daughter duo behind Swapnanjali Jewellery Studio. They are both gemologists and diamond graders, Swapna is an ex-banker and Aparna is a travel & lifestyle journalist; Contributing Editor at Vogue India.
At their studio in Pune, India, they design 18 kt gold and costume jewellery studded with gemstones handcrafted by third-generation craftsmen from Calcutta. From rubies, emeralds, sapphires and diamonds to a classic Kundan collection, their signature style is classic, elegant, vibrant and wearable for all occasions. They customized jewellery according to individual client budgets and requirements.
The label’s Spring Summer 2017 Collection – Rangoon Calling – draws inspiration from mysterious Myanmar, incorporating fresh colours of the landscape using emeralds, mint jade, turquoise, citrin, rose quartz and aquamarine. Designed to transport the wearer to a languorous cruise on the backwaters of the Ayeyarwady, the collection – featuring versatile pieces with detachable and reversible elements – is a shoo in for cocktail conversations. boardroom ice breakers and romantic dates.
Lookbook : Jewellery By Swapnanjali Jewellery Studio
I had the pleasure of creating a cookbook for this beautiful collection and here are the results of our collaboration…..
I loved each and every piece that is a part of her Summer line, they have a hint of traditional splendour while being clean and conventional – an irresistible combination.
Being a lover of colour, my favourite pieces were
The Turquoise-kundan Chinchpeti
A colourful version of the traditional pearl chinchpeti. Incidentally, its turquoise, not Pearl white, that is said to be the colour that’s universally flattering on all skin shades.
Shades of Green Earrings
Stilleto danglers in Uncut Aquamarine, Onyx, German Quartz and Emeralds.
